Chapter 134: Speech from the Mount of Olives

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the warriors came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 3 For many shall come in my name, saying, I shall protect you; and shall deceive many. 4 And ye shall hear of massacres and rumours of mass risings: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For brother shall rise against brother, and family against family: and there shall be thirst, and violence, and overrunning, in divers places. 6 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Then shall they lay hands on you to be devoured, and shall kill you:

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 9 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall devour many brains. 10 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

And this gospel of the army shall be taught in all the world to train all nations; and then shall the end come.

Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall do: 13 For I will give you a target and strength, which all your lifeless adversaries shall not be able to avoid nor resist.

And ye shall be betrayed both by the risen forms of parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. 15 And ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake when salvation has not yet come. 16 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
