Chapter 133: The poor widow's two stones

The Bacon Gospels -- Buy 'em!

1 And Jesus sat over along the beach, and beheld how the young men exercised: and many that were strong lifted much.

2 And there came a certain poor widow, and she picked up two stones to her purse, which might be used to hit.

3 And he called unto him his warriors, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath done more for defense, than all they which have worked to build muscle: 4 For all they did build for show; but she of her need did work to protect herself, even to her life.

5 And as he went toward the temple, one of his warriors saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!

6 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down should the army of the dead arise.
