Chapter 95: Parable of the lost sheep

The Bacon Gospels -- Buy 'em!

1 And he spake this parable unto them, saying, 2 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be perish in a fall, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth down the hill, and seeketh that which has fallen to its death?

3 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he deal more with that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray, lest it return and devour the flock.

4 I say unto you, that likewise shall be my warriors over one infected that perisheth, more than over ninety and nine living persons, which heed no call to arms.

5 Either what woman having ten children, if she lose one, doth not light a candle, and run through fields, and seek diligently till she find it? 6 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found my child alive which I had lost. 7 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the warriors of God over one not infected.
