Chapter 94: Sermon while holding a child

At the same time came the warriors unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the warriors of heaven?

And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

And said, 4 Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not become a warrior of heaven. 5 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee, the same is greatest warrior of heaven.

And whoso shall protect one such little child in my name receiveth me.

And John answered and said, Master, we saw one slaying the risen in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.

And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

For whosoever shall hand you a blade to fight in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his life.

And whosoever shall neglect to defend one of these little ones, it is better for him that his hands be tied behind his back, and he were cast into a sea of the risen.

And if thy hand be infected, cut it off: it is better for thee to defend life maimed, than having two hands return with a darkness that never shall be quenched: 12 Where such a worm dieth not, the fire of justice will not be quenched. 13 And if thy foot be infected, cut it off: it is better for thee to defend from thy seat with sling, than having two feet to be cast into a grave, and arise with life that never shall be quenched: 14 Where such a worm dieth not, the fire of justice will not be quenched.

And if thine eye be infected, pluck it out: it is better for thee to stand in thy doorway with one eye, than having two eyes cower and wait for the shambler: 16 Where such a worm dieth not, the fire of justice will not be quenched.

For every one shall be assaulted by darkness, and every sacrifice shall be made with sweat and blood.

Take heed that ye abandon not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. 19 For the Warrior for man is come to save you from those which were lost.

Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to train with him. 21 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and train at weapons with them.
