Chapter 100: The rich man and the beggar Lazarus

The Bacon Gospels -- Buy 'em!

1 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 2 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of infection, 3 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came to check if he were yet alive.

4 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was risen, and came to feast on the rich man's family: the rich man also died, and was buried; 5 And he rose up and also came to feast upon his family. 6 And he cried and said, Brains.

7 But his father said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime did good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is risen as are you. 8 And beside all this, between us is a great bond: so that you must protect me from dead Lazarus who would come from thence.

9 Then he said, Brains and ate his father and five brethren, alongside Lazarus.

10 And the warriors said, Nay: but if one went unto them from the dead, they would repent.

11 And Jesus said unto them, If they hear not me, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead to devour them.
