Chapter 15: The spread of infection

1 The first baptised in unclean water was David, who infected Abraham.

2 Abraham infected Isaac; and Isaac infected Jacob; and Jacob infected Judas and his brethren;

3 And Judas infected Phares and Zara and Thamar; and Phares infected Esrom; and Esrom infected Aram;

4 And Aram infected Aminadab; and Aminadab infected Naasson; and Naasson infected Salmon; 5  And Salmon infected Booz and Rachab;

6 and Booz infected Obed and Ruth; and Obed infected Jesse; 7 And Jesse infected David; and David infected Solomon and the wife of Urias;

8 And Solomon infected Roboam; and Roboam infected Abia;

9 and Abia infected Asa; 10 And Asa infected Josaphat; and Josaphat infected Joram; and Joram infected Ozias;

11 And Ozias infected Joatham; and Joatham infected Achaz; and Achaz infected Ezekias;

12 And Ezekias infected Manasses; and Manasses infected Amon; and Amon infected Josias;

13 And Josias infected Jechonias and his brethren, about the time the disease was carried also to Babylon:

14 And Jechonias infected Salathiel; and Salathiel infected Zorobabel;

15 And Zorobabel infected Abiud; and Abiud infected Eliakim; and Eliakim infected Azor;

16 And Azor infected Sadoc; and Sadoc infected Achim; and Achim infected Eliud;

17 And Eliud infected Eleazar; and Eleazar infected Matthan; and Matthan infected Jacob;

18 And Jacob infected Joseph the husband of Mary, but none lay hold on Jesus, who is called Christ.
